Riddells Creek is a town located in the Macedon Ranges region of Victoria, Australia. It is situated approximately 50 kilometers north-west of Melbourne and has a population of around 4,000 people.
The town was originally established in the mid-19th century as a stopover on the way to the gold fields, but has since become a residential and agricultural hub. Riddells Creek is surrounded by picturesque countryside and offers easy access to nearby national parks and forests, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
One of the most notable features of the town is the Riddells Creek Viaduct, which was built in 1861 to connect Melbourne to Bendigo via rail. The viaduct is an impressive structure that spans over 1,000 feet and towers over 100 feet above the valley below.
